A Day on Venus Is Longer Than a Year
Venus, the closest planet to us, has a quite different day than Earth. The total cycle of day and night and the time needed for Venus’ revolution around the sun lasts as long as one year. This means that 720 Venusian solar days are equivalent to one revolution around the sun, and one Venusian year, which contains 243 Earth days, is comparable to 188 Earth days.
Space Is a Vacuum
The space is empty and has no elements like air, water, or even atmosphere that one would find in everyday life. This is why astronauts wear space suits when they go to space. These suits guard them against extreme conditions and enable them to breathe as they work.
There’s a Giant Storm on Jupiter
The great red spot on Jupiter is a large storm bigger than the whole Earth. This storm is so giant it can accommodate three planet Earths within its belly. It has been burning for at least 400 years and, as such, has become one of the most notable features of our solar system.
